Poems about Life (reflections at the end of poems)
Complications by Misti L. Green
In a world filled with changes each and every day.. I feel I’m being judged for what I do n say.. I remember back to Barbies and play days at the park.. When I didn’t worry about other people’s remarks.. Now lookin in the mirror I see to my surprise.. A completely different person staring in my eyes.. The care free little girl I saw at 4 and 5.. Is now becoming a teen.. Just trying to survive... Reflection: The poet talks about how life changes as we grow up. Our mindsets and goals change. Being a child is the easiest time of our lives. When we start to grow older is when we start facing real problems.

My Sanctuary by Marci Corbett
The sun is setting The leaves fall-fall is setting in There's a slight breeze outside It's getting cold I walk outside to feel the breeze against my face I close my eyes and listen... I live in a world where there's so much life around me But for that moment I feel like I'm the only one The only one, and for that moment I picture myself in another place My Sanctuary I go over and sit on a bench and can hear the birds overhead My mind starts to wander Life wouldn't seem so bad as a bird They get to see the world I would like to see the world So much I have yet to see So many people I have yet to meet I open my eyes I go back inside Back to reality Reflection: The poet is saying that there is so much more to life than we think we know and that we should appreciate everything that this world gives us and take advantage of it in a positive way.

Through It All by Destinee Snuffer
Friends come and go Life flies by right before your eyes. You loose ones you love Yet through it all you still love your life. People leave you to fight alone You put on a fake smile to hide all your pain Yet someone still knows your hurt. Through it all you still put on a front to satisfy those around you Thorough it all you wouldn't change a thing Through it all you wouldn't trade your life for fame. You build a wall to try to keep from getting hurt You lock up you heart and throw away the key to see who cares enough to look for the key Through it all there's not many people that got you to open up yet still you love it all. Struggles meet you in the face to watch you slip up Yet through it all you wouldn't change a thing. Through it all you wouldn't change a thing Through it all you wouldn't trade your life for fame. Reflection: The poet is saying that no matter what obstacles are thrown at you during your lifetime, you should be happy and grateful to learn from them.

Life by Anjali
Life is full of surprises and shocks while we are planning and deciding our next move, our course of action It moves in opposite direction, without warning while we spend a lifetime, thinking and planning about our future, our loved ones It takes a step further beyond our thinking everything about life is always uncertain the only thing constant thing about it is it is always moving so keep moving, keep smiling always Reflection: The poet is saying that life always has its spontaneous moments and throws things at you when you least expect it. Enjoy the ride and enjoy the learning experiences that they bring.
